To coordinate import requests for medical supplies and personal protective equipment, CBP`s Center for Excellence and Expertise in Pharmaceuticals, Health and Chemicals has established the COVID-19 Cargo Resolution Team (CLRC). This team is a multidisciplinary team that selects incoming requests, coordinates with the ports concerned and responds directly when needed. Imports.cbp.gov is used as CBP`s coordination mechanism to receive and respond to requests on the following points. Assigned staff will also coordinate with ports and other government agencies to ensure that legitimate shipments are not unnecessarily delayed. CBP recommends that air carriers protect all personal data (PII) transmitted via email.
