The document must consist of three sections. Courses on CSF course lists are not based on how they meet a-g requirements. We know that most of the courses offered meet the “a-g” requirements, but you will see in the CSF statutes how courses are placed on the lists: AGRICULTURE (List III) All courses that do not meet List I or List II Scientific Requirements The course lists are specific to the chapter for which they were approved. Courses with the same or similar titles in different schools may not have the same content or requirements and therefore cannot be placed on the same CSF list. If you cannot find an equivalent course title in the standard lists of a course offered at your school, please rely on the descriptions of the FSC bylaws provided in each category to determine placement. NOTE: Registrars will begin reviewing course listings on September 1, 2022. These courses must be academically grade level (not conducive) and meet college readiness requirements and be taught in high schools across California. ⇒ New for this year is the link to download your lists of approved CSF courses for 2021-2022 for your school, which you can use as a template for 2022-2023. An email will be sent to advisors with a link to download the lists of approved courses for their chapter for 2021-2022. Each chapter must submit up-to-date course lists annually: Lists I, II and III and have them approved by the FSC Registrar. List II: List II courses are courses that are not basic requirements for the College Diploma, but must include the following: Course lists must be submitted by each FSC chapter no later than October 1 of each year and updated annually. Chapters that have not submitted and approved course lists run the risk of being revoked. Make sure you have clicked SUBMIT to fill out the form and upload your course lists. List II courses may be college preparation and meet the elective requirements for graduation, or may be non-college preparatory and meet a subject degree requirement. For example, non-college preparatory English courses may be included in List II if they meet a degree requirement for English. SCIENCE All College Preparation (CP) courses that are included in the core curriculum and meet the requirements of the scientific framework, including biology, chemistry and all courses that require biology or chemistry as a prerequisite, including honors, AP and IB. All courses offered at your school MUST be considered with the exceptions set out in the statutes. More complete lists of courses can be found in all three lists in the tabs below. ENGLISH All required College Preparation (CP) English courses that meet the final requirements of Grades 9, 10, 11 and 12 and meet the college entry requirements, including Honours, AP and IB. Once the course lists for the current school year have been submitted, you may receive an email from the Registrar informing you of the corrections to be made and asking you to return the updated course lists by email for approval. If you do not receive an email approving your CSF course lists for 2022-2023, they have not been approved and action must be taken. List I courses whose grades are determined by reduced standards (e.g. designated by the RER) are List II courses. List III includes all other subjects offered that are not on List I or List II, with the exception of these courses, which are NOT ACCEPTABLE for CSF course lists: List I: List I courses are only the main classes of the College Preparation Program, as defined in the state framework for graduation, which must incorporate the following elements: WHAT DOES A CONSULTANT NEED TO BE READY TO SUBMIT COURSE LISTS?. Course lists must be approved by the FSC Registrar no later than February 1 of each school year.

FOREIGN LANGUAGE All College Preparation (CP) courses that include grammar and literature, including Honours, AP and IB. WHO CAN I CONTACT IF I HAVE QUESTIONS ABOUT THE COURSE LISTS? Download the Word/Excel file of the CSF course list that you created in step A. THINGS TO CONSIDER BEFORE SUBMITTING YOUR COURSE LISTS: Chapter # (with region) – School Name – Students in the school year receive CSF membership if they apply and have earned 10 (ten) CSF points. Points are earned for the grades of the previous semester according to the following scale. Summer courses (including online and college courses) cannot be used for CSF membership. Seniors can become life members if they were members of the CCA in the second semester of the second semester of the second year until the second half of last year. An elder must qualify for the second semester of the last year, even if they have four previous semesters of membership, as one semester must be based on grades obtained in the past year. An older person who needs an additional semester to qualify for Sealbearer can use the final grades from the last semester of the last semester of the last year if they qualify and complete a CSF application in May/June. * Online/College Courses on High School Campus: An online and/or college course (not taken in the summer) with the same or similar title to a course from List I, List II or List III can be placed on List I, List II or List III (see CSF standard course lists on the CSF/CJSF website for placement) if it is a college preparation course with similar rigor and assessment, and is admitted to the high school campus under the supervision of a certified teacher.

Keep in mind that courses such as physical education, teaching assistant, office assistant or repetitive courses do not earn CSF points. VISUAL ARTS/PERFORMING ARTS (List III) All advanced courses, including all levels. A = 3 CSF points*B = 1 CSF points*C = 0 CSFD or F points in each course, even if they are not counted for CSF, disqualifies the student from membership Courses taken online or at a college during the regular school year must be published on the student`s transcript prior to the CSF membership campaign for CSF eligibility. Here are the instructions for online/college placement: Please check if your CSF course list document (Word or Excel only) is titled with a file name in the following format: After filling in your advisor/school`s updated information for 2021-2022 and uploading your CSF course lists, your course lists will be reviewed by a CSF Registrar. If corrections to your course lists are required, the Registrar will notify you by email. Corrections must be made and updated course lists must be emailed back to the Registrar (the corrected document does not need to be uploaded online) for your course lists to be approved. You will be notified by the Registrar by email when your lists have been approved.

The summer school CANNOT count towards FSC membership. This includes college courses. Your CSF course list document must be named so that we know which school and chapter it relates to. Click here to search for your chapter number. Please read this important information before submitting your CSF course lists. This will come in handy when you fill out the FSC online submission form and answer questions about placing your courses on Lists I, II and III. You will be contacted by the Registrar once your course lists have been reviewed. Create a Word or Excel document (not a PDF or Google document) of the courses offered in your school. ** Online/College Courses TAKEN ON HIGH SCHOOL CAMPUS: A student may use an online and/or college course not taken at their high school for a student`s membership in the FSC if the course was not taken during the summer and was placed on the student`s transcript before the start of the semester. Use the FSC standard course lists on the FSC/CJSF website to make a placement in these circumstances. These courses are not eligible for a bonus point on the student`s CSF application.

Summer courses and intersessional courses may NOT be considered in the FSB. WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN PLACING A COURSE ON LIST I OR LIST II? To be eligible for FSC membership, a student must earn sufficient points from the course lists described in Part A below. Your CSF course lists should only include courses offered on your campus. Other courses of equivalent academic calibre may be included in List II with the consent of the FSC Registrar.
