Hello everyone, my name is Toby and I work at Edinburgh Law School. I just wanted everyone who applied in time for Round 1 and let their application run on Round 2 that due to the high number of requests we receive, we only make a small number of offers in each round – there are still places for all of our programs and we will continue to make offers in each round. We know it`s frustrating to wait for a decision on your application, but if it`s been deferred to Round 2, it means it`s very thoughtful. I hope this helps and feel free to email us if you have any questions. You can no longer apply for courses from 2022. I just looked at the Edinburgh application deadlines – I applied on March 1st, I really believe I will be available by March 1st. June has to wait to get an answer? I have three more offers that “expire in April”, so I`m waiting for Edinburgh to make a decision. :/ I have read a lot about candidates for LLM or postgraduate students. Yes, Round 1 places prices until February 3, which is long gone. I suspect that my application has been pushed back to Round 2, where an offer would be expected on April 13. That`s what the website published. I do not know what the norm is.
Is it true that all the seats in Round 1 are occupied and the other rounds are reserved only for emergencies? Shouldn`t I keep my hopes high, given that I haven`t even received a rejection? I also read in other places that people had to wait until April/May to get quotes. Based on the percentage of offers in relation to the number of applications received, these are the hardest to reach universities in the UK: of course, there are a limited number of offers we can make to fill the available places and we are committed to distributing these offers fairly. Due to the increased demand, we need to be more careful when preparing offers. Subject by topic, we will not start submitting bids until we are sure of the standard required to receive a quote this year. As we predicted, the university experienced a spike in applications just before the January deadline. If you already have an application for 2022 and you are in liquidation, you can add this course as a compensation selection – first contact the university or college to check if they have places. Hello everyone, I had also applied for an LLM in Edinburgh and my application was also postponed to the next round / They said they would make decisions on April 13th. My status indicates that it is being changed. I hope it goes well. Somehow, he lost his heart because he failed to get selected in the first round. :/Have offers from QMUL, Kings and Manchester (among others) Still waiting for UCL and Edinburgh for their decisions.
Quite stressful because these are my personal favorites. So, although some offers are made earlier, some decisions are only made in April or early May. If an applicant has applied before the October or January deadline, they will receive our decision no later than May 19, 2022. We understand that applicants who may wait weeks or even months to get an admission decision will find this frustrating. We will process requests and offers as soon as possible and take care of each of them. Offer holders have time to weigh their options before having to respond to their offers via UCAS in June. We plan to hold digital and on-campus events to support their decision-making. Hey, I applied in September 2022 and my application status is “being processed”. I guess they will take about 8 weeks to accept or reject. But some of the UK`s best and most prestigious universities have higher-than-expected supply rates. Durham offers places for more than 70% of those who apply, while Exeter offers places for almost 80% of applicants.
What won`t surprise anyone is that Oxford and Cambridge are the two hardest universities to reach. In fact, Oxford offers places to less than a fifth of those who apply. For the sake of fairness, most of the conditional offers we make will reflect the expected ratings required to get a quote this year. As part of our commitment to expand access, we will make offers to eligible candidates based on our minimum entry requirements. Since these offers are not limited by competition for places, they are carried out on a continuous basis throughout the cycle. No update so far Let`s keep this thread active as it is the most inactive thread in the batch. Any updates to the application, any changes in the processing of the application, offers or rejections and other questions, let us make a group effort and discuss them here. Really help. by Jessica Murray in Freshers, Sixth form & college We deciphered the numbers to reveal the percentage of students who receive an offer after applying to all universities in the UK, and proved once and for all which universities are the hardest to break. Hello, thank you for starting this thread! I applied for the LLM in Medical and Ethical Law in the first round of applications (submitted on December 10th) and received a conditional offer today. It seems that my application portal only went from “ongoing” to “ready to make a decision” one day before the published selection deadline! I hope this helps.
Good luck! Policy on taking into account difficult circumstances affecting applicants Hello everyone, I applied to Edinburgh, LLM in Intellectual Property Law. An applicant at the beginning of October and since then my EUCLID portal says “currently in progress”. It`s been more than 3 months or so. I am grateful that this is the only legitimate portal I could find that discusses LLM courses and candidates who share their views. Could someone enlighten us on what to expect? I would be very grateful! Thank you very much. In some cases, asking prices are low because universities have a limited number of places or are geared towards a niche topic. This is probably the case for the University of the Arts in London and Leeds Arts University (two of the few universities specialising in the arts in the UK). It can also be used for St. George`s, University of London, which is exclusively a medical school. For these reasons, we have successfully selected the vast majority of applications up to the January deadline. Only when all applications have been received and reviewed will we begin to know how competitive entry into many areas will be.
This data shows the supply rates for bachelor`s degree applications in all age groups (not just 18-year-olds), which are expected to start in September 2021. Let`s stay in touch. Helps to keep track and know that we are not alone in this process. We also recognize that while everyone has experienced real challenges during the Covid-19 pandemic, the educational opportunities and experiences of some applicants will be limited due to very personal circumstances. Our flexible approach to challenging circumstances aims to support these candidates and recognize their potential. New data from UCAS shows that some universities offer places to more than 90% of those who apply – but less than a fifth of Oxford applicants receive an offer. We will not only consider the qualifications that candidates complete this year. Offers are made based on all the information contained in each UCAS application, and we may use information such as Nat 5 and GCSE grades, as well as field of study, to distinguish strong candidates. Going to university is not just about money. But we`d be lying if we said it wasn`t a factor – so look at the salary of your degree.
The UCAS application deadline has now expired and almost all degrees are closed for new applications. Applications in all fee status groups increased year-over-year, increasing by more than 20% compared to the same period of the 2020 entry cycle. The candidates` obtained and expected scores are indeed very high. But it can reassure you to know that beyond Oxbridge, some of the uk`s top universities offer around a third of their candidate places. Imperial College London, for example, has an acceptance rate of 32.5%. Meanwhile, the number at the University of Edinburgh is 39.3%. In total, 12 universities offer more than 90% of the candidates` places. Oh my God, it`s a huge amount of time to wait! Have you tried contacting the admissions team? I thought the rolling deadline system means you should be notified by January 20 in some way (on their website as the date “places will be allocated by” for applicants who applied before December 6).
While we don`t know exactly how popular the different departments and degree programs will be this year, we have an idea of which topics will be the most popular. Every year we publish admission statistics that give an indication of the competition for places. Master in Comparative Law (MCL) at the University of Adelaide. Hello everyone else applied to Edinburgh? I have submitted my application to be considered in the next round (February). I`d love to hear from anyone else who applied (or even was accepted!). Attention According to the percentage of students who apply to each university and receive an offer, these are the easiest universities to reach: taking into account all universities, the average offer rate is 72.43%. But feel free to use the table below to see how each university compares. Use the list and table below to view the asking price for each university. There are some surprises there.
Good idea. I have no news to report. However, I hope to hear soon that I will be from Australia and that I will take some time to arrange for a move. Not finding out until June would be a breaking factor for me. Some universities are harder to reach than others.
