During your articling at Grant Thornton, you will deal with legal issues. Must have a university degree. Must have an interest in the law. Must have standard business computer skills (Microsoft Power Point, Excel, Outlook, Word, etc.). As General Counsel and Compliance Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring that the AMF complies with its external regulatory requirements and internal policies and cooperates with corporate governance procedures. If necessary, you will work on compliance with local legislation. The incumbent is responsible for identifying and ensuring compliance with legislation having an impact on the AMF. In addition, you will provide the AMF with sound legal advice and legal risk assessment in all legal matters to facilitate decision-making and ensure protection against legal risks (1st line of defence); monitor regulatory and internal compliance risks and report to the Chief Executive Officer of the AMF Chairman of the Board of Directors. You are responsible for ensuring that the Company`s actions are legal and comply with applicable laws and regulations.
